Jeaaa.

Okay, today, it’s just a quick word-of-the-day.

The reason for this is that I’m experimenting with different themes.

So, apologies if you can’t even read this because it’s upside down or the page has gone all ‘matrixey’.

Check this badboy out:

lunker \LUHNG-ker\, noun:

1. something unusually large for its kind.
2. Angling. a very large game fish, especially a bass.

Ha! Now there’s a word that really sounds like what it’s describing. Ya great big lunker, ye. It’s practically onomatopoeic.

Let’s try it in a sentence:

“Hodor is a giant of a man, a proper lunker, and so is Hodor’s… erm… lunker.”

Apparently…

Glenfiddich is a good father’s day gift.

It is known.

It’s also a good Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday gift.

The Glenfiddich company has been making booze for 125 years and has earned a ton of awards. The fifth generation of the family is now running the UK based company- isn’t that ace?

Lookit just a few of their gold awards:

Scotch Whisky Masters Awards 2012
Master: Glenfiddich 15 Year Old, Distillery Edition
Gold: Glenfiddich Rich Oak & Glenfiddich 15 Year Old
Gold: Glenfiddich 21 Year Old
Gold: Glenfiddich Age of Discovery Bourbon Cask 19 Year Old
Gold: Glenfiddich 30 Year Old
Gold: Glenfiddich 40 Year Old
Gold: Glenfiddich Malt Master’s Edition

So it goes without saying that it’s nice.

These aged single malts are what you might call Whisky+. A bit like JD’s single barrel nom nom juice, but Scottish instead of Yeehawi.

Get over here!

Says everyone who downloads the new Scorpion DLC for Injustice: Gods Among Us.

In this ever shrinking world where various IPs are intermingled in an attempt to make recycle tired characters, it’s no surprise that Mortal Kombat’s undead ninja is being pitted against Superman and friends. I suppose Injustice isn’t a game you play if you’re a hardcore canonist anyway- it’s about famous faces punching each other- so now you can stick everyone’s favourite yellow-clad spearman in the mix.

‘The version of Scorpion seen in the game is designed by Jim Lee, Co-Publisher at DC Entertainment, and pays homage to NetherRealm Studios’ original blockbuster franchise.’

I remember when Scorpion was a bad spirit that took over Kung Lao’s mate, Takeda. Remember that little spin-off? Wish you couldn’t?

Scorpion will be available on Xbox LIVE® Marketplace for 400 Microsoft Points and PlayStation®Network at a price of £3.99.

Here’s a trailer video:
