Smashwords Summer/Winter sale now on, including Strange Matters!

It’s a good time for indie book fans!

Smashwords is a great site for buying books and an even better site for discovering independent authors and publishers. You may know already that I sell my book Strange Matters on Smashwords, plus the free sample The Firebird. I also took part in creating Tales from Indies with other writers from the Smashwords forum (not officially affiliated with the main site).

Well, from July the 1st to the 31st, Smashwords is having it’s 8th annual Summer/Winter sale, in which thousands of books are discounted (with many even being free!).

Strange Spotlight: Torc

Strange Spotlight: Torc

Having a little look at Torc.

Hello all! High time I returned to my Strange Spotlight series and did episode 2, which will take a look at Torc.

Returning visitors to Doing Words will know that I wrote a collection of short fantasy tales, called Strange Matters. The eBook’s available from AmazonSmashwordsGoogle Play and more, with the hardcopy on Amazon. Strange Matters contains 20 pieces of fiction and poetry that all contain a glimmer of magic; for some it’s overt, for others it’s subtle. Some are high fantasy, some are modern.

A short CYOA by yours truly is free on your mobile!

Greetings all. Anyone who knows me or follows this blog will know that I’m a big fan of Choose Your Own Adventure games, as I mentioned in a post a little while ago. You know the ones- turn to page 5 to stab the centaur in the balls, turn to page 201 to run away and hide under a cottage.
