Twenty Fifteen

Twenty Fifteen

Bonjour, mon amis.

I’m posting today just in a sort of diary fashion, updating everyone as to what I’m up to. Actually, it’s mostly about reminding myself what I’m meant to be doing.

So, it’s 2015. This month of Janus has been heavily overshadowed by the awful events in France, but I’m not going to go into that. Suffice to say that I condemn that shit and support freedom of expression, along with respect and tolerance.

Did you make any resolutions? I’m renewing last year’s weight loss/Healthening goals. I let things slip, sadly, after having my toenail removed late last year. On purpose, I should add. Nonetheless it screwed up my routine and then I naughtily didn’t unscrew it until now.

In addition I’m setting a goal to read all the books that I own, but haven’t read yet. These are largely Christmas presents from years gone by; someone buys me a book and it goes to the bottom of the things I want to read. Well, those forgotten texts will have their day. I’ve started out with The Last Kingdom by Bernard Cornwell. I love this historical period but never managed to get around to his books.

Writing wise, I’m still working freelance for The Little Vikings. You can check that out for free, here. I’m also editing my way through all the stories from Splinters of Truth, which is probably going to have a new name by the time I come to publication. When that’ll be is anyone’s guess. I’m past the halfway mark, though.

Oh, I think I may have to find a new day job, too. Mind you, I threaten that every week.

What are your goals and dreams for 2015? Are you writing, protesting, resting?

Here’s a silly haiku to start off your year:

O Twenty Fifteen,

You’re basically the future,

Where’s my hoverboard?
