Our Daily Beard

Morning!

What a glorious Friday it is! Busy day ahead, so just a quickie.

I realised that I haven’t done any updates for a while on the matter of my writing.

The simple reason is that I’m working on my novel- so there’s not much in the way of day-to-day progress to report.

I did find a fantastic resource- a BBC documentary called The Tube which details the daily exploits of the tube’s workers and patrons. It’s pretty fascinating and mind boggling- the sheer scale of the operation, churning away day after day. I definitely have some ideas sparking from that, as well as gaining vital information for the purposes of realism.

I’ve been toying with a couple of other short stories, but I can’t present them to you, sorry. I’m hoping to enter a few competitions and submit to some mags, and some are quite strict about prior publication. I’ll see what I can do.

Meanwhile, here’s some fun game news:

Skyrim: Legendary Edition has been announced for June 7th, available on Xbox 360 and PS3 for £39.99 and on PC for £29.99. This includes all the prior DLC- Hearthfire, Dragonborn and Dawnguard as well as all the little tweaks like extra combat cameras and Legendary skill levels. This comes on the back of the news that there won’t be any more Skyrim DLC. It should make for a good purchase in about 5-7 years when you’ve lost your old copy or want it on a new platform, with all the DLC.

Also, LEGO Batman: DC Super Heroes has now been released on iOS. Fill your boots with mobile brick and cape related action!
