Introducing Spinetinglers!

Introducing Spinetinglers!

Just a few months ago, I collaborated with an author called Jack Simmonds.

Jack has a few short horror novels for children; think along the lines of Goosebumps. He’s working now on a series called Spinetinglers, with various authors, creating spooky tales for kids.

Jack kindly accepted me as a writer on the title ‘Frankenstein’s Daughter’. Fans of my other work can find this piece on Amazon kindle, right here! This is novelette size, or a hefty short story, just like Goosebumps and co.

This is a bit of a departure from my usual stuff, which tends to be more fantasy than horror and also aims at adults. I enjoyed the challenge of writing in a different style. That’s not to say that I toned down my signature strangeness much! A little fright never hurt a kid. I mean, in a book. You know.

Here’s the description of Frankenstein’s Daughter:

Lizzy loves school, even though she’s not the most popular person there. In fact, she’s only got one friend… Alice.

So when Alice joins the list of missing girls Lizzy goes on full alert — against her parents wishes, she decides to find out what happened to her best friend.

And now there’s a new girl in school… who has exactly the same eyes as her best friend!

But no one will believe Lizzy and her crazy theories about the new girl, so she must take matters into her own hands and go to the new girls creepy old house on the hill… the truth might just give her a bit of a headache.

And if you enjoy it, check out some of Jack’s other Spinetinglers:

– The Vampire Circus

– Attack of the Killer Plants!

– Scream Park

– Frankensteins Daughter

– Poltergeist City (coming soon)

Thanks for reading! Let me know if you like it, perhaps I’ll branch out into this kind of story more often.
