Just a quick one today. Thought I might start sharing the odd ‘word of the day’.

Easy, I know, but the idea was always for daily posts to be quick flicks. These will largely be from the extremely useful dictionary.com.

Skeuomorph \SKYOO-uh-mawrf\ , noun:

An ornament or design on an object copied from a form of the object when made from another material or by other techniques. EG: A ‘tudor’ style house in a suburban development.

This is an odd one, isn’t it?

Another example might be a house phone that looks like an old antique phone- I think that’s one.

Of course, it also sounds like a Doctor Who villain.
