Copywriting Update: Online Bingo Reviews
Sharing a recent success.
In the spirit of sharing successes, which I’m told is a good thing to do, I thought I’d just post today to tell you about some work I’ve been doing lately. The copywriting work has been flowing freely lately, I’m very pleased to say- long may it continue! Here’s the text from my portfolio page:
I was kindly hired by the folks behind www.onlinebingo.co.uk to research and review a host of bingo sites and casino sites. As a gambling copywriter and having previously worked in the industry, this is right up my street and I was happy to help.
The project is long and at the time of writing is actually ongoing (there are a LOT of bingo sites now!). The team behind the site wisely asked me to produce honest reviews, testing the sites against a list of standards and against each other, playing them and actually using the support features, to ensure that reviews had substance. Sites with clear failings will receive scores that reflect that fact. This is really important as more and more bingo portals appear which just exist to serve out links. I should also add that I did not write their review for Jackpotjoy, my previous employer.
Cupcake Bingo makes good on its name, with a full-page background showing delicious cakes and treats covered in bingo balls. Everywhere you look there’s cake, so this may not be a good site to visit if you’re on a diet! Best of all, this theme is used throughout the site, from artwork on the home page to bespoke promotional art.
This has been very interesting work and has allowed me to keep one toe dipped in the bingo and casino world while doing other things. Each piece breaks the sites down into areas like customer support, game variety and promotions, with ratings and useful facts throughout. The site has a lot of resources other than reviews, too.
